The UTI Test Strips package includes a color-coded chart to interpret your test results. The top section checks for leukocytes, while the bottom section tests for nitrites. If both pads appear purple, it strongly indicates the presence of a UTI.

What is a UTI? A urinary tract infection, or UTI, is an infection of the urinary tract. The infection can occur at different points in the urinary tract, including the:
- Bladder — An infection in the bladder is also called cystitis or a bladder infection.
- Kidneys — An infection of one or both kidneys is called pyelonephritis or a kidney infection.
- Ureters — The tubes that take urine from each kidney to the bladder are rarely the only site of infection.
- Urethra — An infection of the tube that empties urine from the bladder to the outside is called urethritis.
What type of test is this? The strips check for nitrites and leukocytes produced by most UTIs.
Why should you do this test? This test can show if you have signs of a UTI.
