What Does the Test Detect?

Respiratory Virus Result Marker Detected Target
Respiratory Syncytial Virus R RSV protein antigens
Influenza A A Influenza A protein antigens
Influenza B B Influenza B protein antigens
COVID-19 CoV SARS-CoV-2 protein antigens
i

This test does not detect influenza C or other respiratory pathogens. A positive result does not rule out co-infection with another virus or bacterium.

Who Can Use This Test?

14+

Individuals aged 14 years or older may collect their own anterior nasal sample and perform the test.
2+

An adult must collect the sample and perform the test for children aged 2–13 years.

Children aged 6–23 months require the included pediatric swab guard and at least two adults.
5d

Use only for individuals with respiratory symptoms that began within the previous five days.

Do not delay medical care:
Individuals showing signs of severe illness or who are at increased risk of severe respiratory disease should contact a healthcare provider. Seek immediate medical attention for serious symptoms such as difficulty breathing, shallow breathing, chest retractions or blue coloring around the lips or fingertips.

How to Perform the Test

Flowflex Plus RSV, Flu A/B and COVID Home Test procedure for infants ages 6–23 months and users age 2 and older

  1. Wash or sanitize your hands and place the test cassette on a clean, flat surface.
  2. Open the extraction buffer tube and place it securely in the holder provided by the kit box.
  3. Collect a sample from both nostrils using the provided swab. Follow the separate instructions and use the swab guard when testing children aged 6–23 months.
  4. Place the swab in the extraction buffer and swirl it for 30 seconds.
  5. Rotate the swab five times while squeezing the sides of the tube.
  6. Remove the swab while continuing to squeeze the tube, then attach the dropper tip.
  7. Mix the tube and dispense four drops into the cassette’s sample well marked “S.”
  8. Read the result at 15 minutes. Do not interpret the result after 30 minutes.
!

The infant procedure differs from the procedure for users aged 2 years and older. Carefully read and follow the Quick Reference Instructions supplied with the kit before testing.

Understanding the Results

+

Positive: Both control lines appear and a line—even a faint line—appears at R, A, B or CoV. More than one virus may be detected.

Negative: Both control lines appear, but no line appears at R, A, B or CoV.
!

Invalid: One or both control lines are missing. Repeat the test with a new test kit and sample.

About negative results:
All negative results are presumptive. Negative results do not rule out infection with RSV, influenza, SARS-CoV-2 or another pathogen. Contact a healthcare provider if symptoms continue or worsen.

Clinical Performance

In the clinical study, test results were compared with FDA-cleared, highly sensitive RT-PCR molecular assays.

Virus Positive Percent Agreement Negative Percent Agreement
COVID-19 91.6% 99.9%
Influenza A 92.9% 99.8%
Influenza B 92.9% 99.9%
RSV 94.1% 99.8%
i

Positive and negative percent agreement describe performance compared with the reference RT-PCR assays used in the clinical study. They should not be interpreted as a guarantee of accuracy for every individual test.

Security at Stripe: Learn how Stripe handles security.

A PCI-certified auditor has audited Stripe. We’re a certified PCI Service Provider Level 1. This is the most stringent level of certification available in the payments industry. To accomplish this, we use the best-in-class security tools and practices to maintain a high level of security at Stripe.

HTTPS and HSTS for secure connections

Stripe forces HTTPS for all services using TLS (SSL), including our public website and the Dashboard to ensure secure connections:

  • Stripe.js is served only over TLS.
  • Stripe’s official libraries connect to Stripe’s servers over TLS and verify TLS certificates on each connection.

We regularly audit the details of our implementation, including the certificates we serve, the certificate authorities we use, and the ciphers we support. We use HSTS to ensure that browsers interact with Stripe only over HTTPS. Stripe is also on the HSTS preloaded lists for both Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox.

Sensitive data and communication encryption

All card numbers are encrypted at rest with AES-256. Decryption keys are stored on separate machines. None of Stripe’s internal servers and daemons can obtain plain text card numbers but can request that cards are sent to a service provider on a static allowlist. Stripe’s infrastructure for storing, decrypting, and transmitting card numbers runs in a separate hosting environment, and doesn’t share any credentials with Stripe’s primary services including our API and website.
