The SAFElife™ Fentanyl (FTY) Liquid & Powder Drug Test Strip is a lateral-flow immunoassay for the rapid, qualitative determination of fentanyl in properly prepared liquid, powder or pill samples at a 10 ng/mL cutoff. The strip is dipped into the liquid sample for at least 15 seconds and the result is read at 5 minutes. Each box contains 25 single-use test strips. This product is intended for forensic use only and provides a preliminary result.
| Analyte | Abbreviation | Calibrator | Cutoff | Sample Types | Read Time |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Fentanyl | FTY | Fentanyl | 10 ng/mL | Liquid; powder or pill diluted in water | 5 minutes |
| Result | Line Pattern | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| Negative | One line appears in the control region (C) and one line appears in the test region (T). Any faint distinguishable test line is interpreted as negative. | Fentanyl was not detected or is present below the test’s detection limit. This result does not establish that the substance is safe. |
| Preliminary Positive | One line appears in the control region (C), with no line in the test region (T). | The sample produced a preliminary positive result. A more specific analytical method is required for confirmation. |
| Invalid | No line appears in the control region (C), including when a line appears only in the test region. | The result is invalid. Repeat the test using a new strip and follow the procedure exactly. |
The strip is designed for liquid samples and for powder or pill samples that have been diluted in water according to the package insert and applicable local guidance.
The product’s stated fentanyl cutoff is 10 ng/mL.
Read the result at 5 minutes. The package insert states that results read after more than 5 minutes may be inaccurate and should not be used.
No. A negative result does not mean that a substance is safe. Fentanyl may be present below the test’s detection limit, and the strip does not guarantee detection of every fentanyl analogue.
The package insert states that carfentanil was not detected at concentrations up to 100 µg/mL. Interpret a negative result cautiously because this test does not detect every potent fentanyl-related substance.
No. This is a qualitative screening test. It cannot determine the quantity of fentanyl or the purity or complete composition of a liquid, powder or pill sample.
No. A preliminary positive result requires confirmation using a more specific analytical method. The package insert recommends GC/MS or LC/MS-MS.
No such designation appears in the product insert. This configuration is labeled for forensic use only and should not be represented as an OTC or CLIA-waived test.
DrugTestKitUSA restricts sales to qualified companies using the product for criminal-justice purposes. A signed Forensic Use Only statement is required before the order can be fulfilled.
Each box contains 25 individually pouched, single-use fentanyl test strips.

Security at Stripe: Learn how Stripe handles security.
A PCI-certified auditor has audited Stripe. We’re a certified PCI Service Provider Level 1. This is the most stringent level of certification available in the payments industry. To accomplish this, we use the best-in-class security tools and practices to maintain a high level of security at Stripe.
Stripe forces HTTPS for all services using TLS (SSL), including our public website and the Dashboard to ensure secure connections:
We regularly audit the details of our implementation, including the certificates we serve, the certificate authorities we use, and the ciphers we support. We use HSTS to ensure that browsers interact with Stripe only over HTTPS. Stripe is also on the HSTS preloaded lists for both Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox.
All card numbers are encrypted at rest with AES-256. Decryption keys are stored on separate machines. None of Stripe’s internal servers and daemons can obtain plain text card numbers but can request that cards are sent to a service provider on a static allowlist. Stripe’s infrastructure for storing, decrypting, and transmitting card numbers runs in a separate hosting environment, and doesn’t share any credentials with Stripe’s primary services including our API and website.
